Our 2025 summer interns, in partnership with upReach
This summer, we welcomed 22 summer interns through our partnership with upReach.
Our summer internship programme offers a six-week placement for university students and helps them explore career options, build professional relationships, and develop key employability skills.

Over the duration of the programme, our interns participated in various activities, including soft skills workshops, a networking lunch with members of our Executive Committee and a volunteering day at Lambeth and Croydon Foodbank.
To raise awareness for South Asian Heritage Month, the interns also took part in writing articles spotlighting various senior leaders who discussed their career stories and background.

During the closing event Mike Morgan, Chief Executive, presented our interns with their programme completion certificate. Tesula Mohindra, a non-executive director of Close Brothers, closed the day by sharing her own career journey.
Sergio Fernandez, Learning and Development Specialist said: “Our summer internship programme, in partnership with upReach, has been an insightful and positive experience for all participants.
"Over the past six weeks, our interns have had the opportunity to gain meaningful and valuable experience in their roles, with various opportunities to connect with other interns, learn together and network with colleagues at Close Brothers.
"We wish all our summer interns every success with their ongoing careers.”
